Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office, Jammu came into existence in 1984. It is located near Govt Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office, Jammu is one of the 18 Regional Offices of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. There are 60 Kendriya Vidyalayas under the jurisdiction of this region spread over different states of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh. Out of 60 Kendriya Vidyalayas, there are 34 Kendriya Vidyalayas in Defence Sector, 5 in Project Sector, 21 in Civil Sector.
