Human Resources Minister (Govt. Of India) Special Commendation Award:

Education Officer of KVS Jammu region Sh. S. C Khajuria who has rendered 35 years of meritorious services in the field of education in India and abroad was awarded Special Commendation of HRM, Government of India by Sh. Arjun Singh (Hounourable Minister for Human Resources, Govt. of India). The Special Commendation of H. R. M. (Human Resource Ministry) because of the contribution towards the education of the tribal girls in Madhya Pradesh, specially by getting a Hostel Constructed in a record time at Amar Kantak in Anooppur District of Madhya Pradesh which went a long way in facilitating the education of the tribal girls.

Mrs. Virinder Kour, PRT of Kendriya Vidyalaya No-1 Jalandhar from KVS Jammu region was awarded the National Award by the President of India this year at a function held in New Delhi. 

She was also felicitated at the function organised by the Human Resource Ministry.

Smt. Parveen Arora has been serving Kendriya Vidalaya Sangathan since 1986. She is a committed and pedagogically oriented teacher who has presented outstanding results. She is highly competent and a great motivator with innovative ideas. She has diligently taken up the responsibilities entrusted upon her. She has also contributed greatly to the cause of the society and has won appreciation from various agencies. She has been a great contributor to the cause of the society.

Shri. Chandresh Kumar began his career as TGT (Hindi) in KVS in 1992. Besides being a versatile personality he is also an excellent academic performer. He has performed various duties assigned to him extraordinarily. He is a pivot of the Vidyalaya. He has instilled the concept of self-discipline not only among the students but also within staff members. He is a real scout and an excellent Counselor. He has been constantly producing 100% results in Class X board exams. He is really a model teacher who has endeared himself to one and all. He has put in a total of 17 years of quality service.

She shares an excellent rapport with her student and colleagues alike. Her 100% result in the previous years adds further to her uniqueness as an all round teacher.

Story Of Success

I achived 57th rank in the Civil Service Examination,2007 conducted by UPSC. Civil Services is quite a different exam. it requires  a preservance, patience and consistency along with planned diligence to prove one's way to success. In my case , determination, hard work ,family's unwavering support , friend's  cooperation and last but not the least, the support of the KVS, are the secret of my success.

                                                    I am  from a small village Shyamnagar in Gaya District in Bihar. I express my deep sense of gratitude to my father Sh.Achyvtanand Sharma(Teacher). His motivation and inspiration lead me to achieve success. I passed my Matriculation from H.S Hulasganj.Jehanabad (Bihar) with 70.37% marks. I completed my Post Graduation in Geography from Patna University .I qualified NET (National Eligiblity Test ) for lectureship conducted by UGC in the year 2005.

                                                    I made up my mind to appear in the CSE in 2004 I adopted a very careful approach in deciding my optional subjects. I chose Geog and Hindi Literature for Mains. I went on working hard faith in myself and finally in my third attempt. I faced the interview in the Dhoulpur House,UPSC ,Delhi in 2006. I could not come in merit. but i did not  give up. in my fourth and final attempt, i scored 57th rank all over India . My most cherished dream has come true.

                                                      I joined the KVS in 2002 as TGT, S.ST. As i had anticipated, the environment in the KVS was very conductive to pursue studies. I was in touch with latest development and research. There was a lot of time at my disposal to further my studies and i was also benifited by the academic policy adopted by KVS. Teaching  in KV not onlt provided a platform for devotion towards study but it also helped in grooming my personality.The Assistant Commissioners, Education officers, Principals and Staff of both my Kendriya Vidyalaya's(K.V No. 1 Bhopal and K.V No. 2 AFS, Srinagar) were very supportive and rendered all cooperation and help. I shall be indebted to the KVS for the Same.

                                                           I would like to share with the students who aspire to be IAS , to believe in oneself. one must work hard ,be consistent, be motivated and have positive attitude. No one can stop you from achieving your goal.
